Arctic periodically performs work for several pharmaceutical, high-grade food and even vitamin manufacturers. With slightly varying standards, these clients all share one common need – to monitor, control and document every part of the design, installation and manufacturing process to ensure that the consumer gets a safe and effective product. We have developed Quality Control procedures specifically for the purpose of supporting these customers with HVAC work in their facilities. For example, after having tried numerous means to ensure cleanliness of our fabricated products, with less than perfect results, we built a “class 10,000” cleanroom just to ensure that we were delivering the cleanest materials possible for use in the high-purity process areas of this clientele.
Arctic has also installed air delivery, exhaust, filtration and pressure control systems for institutional medical research laboratories – such as the Linus Pauling Research Institute in Corvallis, Oregon. Compared to a human cell, a microbe would be the size of a cat or a small dog, but a virus would be 1/10 that size. Air filtratrion systems are crucially important to pharmaceutical companies to properly control airborne particles, aerosols and biological contaminants. Consumer safety depends upon it.
